My Story

I have always been fascinated by the human psyche.  I became a licensed alcohol and drug counselor in 2007 and worked in a long-term residential treatment setting.  In 2012, I completed graduate school and was licensed as a mental health practitioner.  I have experience with a wide range of clientele and as cliché as it sounds, "helping people" and adding value to other's lives is my passion.  I am also an adjunct instructor at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, leading courses in Human Services and Chemical Dependency Counseling.  This position is near and dear to me, as I started out my career in this program.  I feel honored to give back to the next generation of human services professionals.

Through my experience with BestCare Employee Assistance Program (EAP), I realized how much I enjoyed working in professional development.  As an Executive Coach, I can work with clients on both personal and professional goals.  At the end of the day, I believe it is all intertwined and the biggest growth comes from development in both areas.

I value life-long learning, growing, and becoming a better version of myself to improve personally and professionally.  I am scheduled to graduate with a Doctoral Degree in Education and Leadership in July of 2022.  My dissertation topic is related to entrepreneurs and emotional intelligence.

I am married to an entrepreneur and find the "entrepreneurial brain" fascinating.  We have two children that keep us busy, challenged, and striving to be our best selves daily.  I've learned that there is no greater accountability than a child's unfiltered real, raw, and honest words.  In addition to our children, we also have fur-dependents that we love.  Luke is a golden/yellow lab mix and Jack & Chloe are our two kitties.

My hobbies consist of reading, writing, exercising, dancing (music and movement are so powerful), and connecting with friends and family.  I probably have some "adrenaline junkie" tendencies, so a couple ways I have filled that have been a) swimming with sharks and b) skydiving!

I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to meet and work with so many incredible people!
